Mrs. Kelly Quiel
Kelly Quiel has a special place in her heart for Blessed Sacrament, because she attended Blessed Sacrament from Pre-K through 8th grade! Principal Penn was her Religion and Social Studies teacher in middle school. She graduated from Juan Diego Catholic High School, received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education from the University of Utah, and began her teaching at a Title 1 school in West Valley City for the past 4 years. She obtained both English as a Second Language and STEM endorsements.
Kelly is thrilled to be teaching Math, Social Studies, and a Film Exploratory for Blessed Sacrament. She combines her loves of technology and the arts to create an innovative and unique classroom experience. She loves teaching middle school students, and watching the students begin the transition into adulthood and find success in taking on more roles and responsibilities. She understands that personal relationships with parents and students are crucial keys to success for her classroom, and often takes extra time out of her days to attend her students’ dance recitals and sporting events outside of school. She loves to be outdoors with her two dogs, Gus and Gilly, and spends her free time going on weekend camping trips with her husband, and tearing up the ice at the Olympic Oval playing ice hockey.
