Spanish Class

Blessed Sacrament offers Spanish as its foreign language program, taught by Ms. Johnson. Join us to learn real-world vocabulary, conversational skills, and Spanish-speaking cultures in this engaging opportunity.

Mrs. Martin looks forward to helping students build a strong foundation in the language through fun skits, mnemonic devices, videos, and songs, as well as more traditional instructional methods.

Woz-Ed STEM Curriculum

At Sacrament Catholic School, we are proud to offer the Woz ED STEM curriculum, a hands-on, project-based program designed to spark curiosity, creativity, and problem-solving skills in every student. Developed by Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak, Woz ED brings real-world STEM concepts to life through engaging lessons in robotics, coding, engineering, and technology.

Our students collaborate across grade levels, working in small groups to explore, design, test, and refine their ideas. This unique approach not only deepens their understanding of science, technology, engineering, and math but also strengthens teamwork, leadership, and communication skills.

Through the Woz ED pathway, students progress through multiple levels of learning, building confidence and preparing for a future where innovation, adaptability, and critical thinking are essential. At Blessed Sacrament, we believe STEM education should be exciting, meaningful, and accessible to all learners—and Woz ED makes that possible.

Mrs. Katherine Martin

Mrs. Martin has been part of the Blessed Sacrament family for several years. She began her journey here working in the daycare program and later served as a Pre-K teacher aide and a 5th-grade teacher. She continued her service as our preschool teacher and as the school’s Office Manager.

Now, Mrs. Martin will be taking on new roles at Blessed Sacrament. She will be in charge of the school library, and she will also be teaching Spanish and Woz-Ed STEM.

She brings a strong background in early childhood education, excellent organizational skills, and a deep commitment to student success. With innovative teaching techniques and a structured, caring approach, she is excited to support students in these new areas.

Her favorite quote is: “You’re braver than you believe, and stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think.” – Christopher Robin to Winnie the Pooh (Pooh’s Grand Adventure: The Search for Christopher Robin)

Music Class

Our music program is full of opportunities to sing, play, and dance. All students will learn how to sing liturgical songs for our Masses.

We are excited to introduce Mrs. Natalie Pack as our music teacher. She brings enthusiasm and joy to the classroom as she guides students through a variety of musical experiences.

We understand the importance of introducing young children to a variety of instruments, choral arrangements, and styles of music to enhance their educational experience. Students from Kindergarten to 8th Grade regularly attend formal music class. Patience, confidence, and improved memory are some of the benefits of learning music. In our program, we love making joyful noises unto the Lord.

Art Class

Blessed Sacrament Catholic School’s art program is for students in Kindergarten through 8th Grade. The program aims to foster an environment of creativity and freedom of expression where students develop a sense of pride, confidence, and satisfaction in their own work.

Throughout the school year, all students have the opportunity to express their creativity using various mediums, including painting, drawing, sculpture, collage, and three-dimensional work.  Art from various cultures and time periods will be introduced and discussed with all grades, as will the influence of religion in art.

Our talented young artists are busy under the guidance of Mrs. Bleak, who enters their work in the Sandy Arts Guild Art Competition. We are thrilled to share that many of our students were recognized in 2025 for their outstanding art creations, showcasing their creativity and hard work. We are so proud of the incredible talent within our school community!

MEET YOUR TEACHER

Mrs. Betty Bleak

She is originally from Texas and is a fan of both the Texas Tech Red Raiders and the University of Utah Utes. She holds two Bachelor’s Degrees in Elementary Art Education and Secondary Art Education, as well as a Master’s Degree in Education.

Before becoming a teacher, she owned framing and art galleries and sold her racing artwork at international Formula One events. Although both experiences were fun and rewarding, she always had a desire to become a teacher. For the past 25 years, she has had the joy of teaching art and helping students discover their creativity and imagination.

What she loves most about teaching is showing children that art is everywhere—not just in museums or classrooms. Her goal is for students not only to understand the elements of art, but also to identify them in their everyday lives and see the world differently.

Outside the classroom, she loves the beach, flamingos, and Jimmy Buffett. A little sunshine, ocean breeze, and good music are always good for the soul.

Physical Education

Blessed Sacrament’s Physical Education program is designed to safely place students in-game situations that will challenge them physically, allow them to develop strategies to improve teamwork, and help them resolve internal and external conflict in situations of friendly competition, all while developing an understanding of good sportsmanship.

Now, more than ever, with the increasing tendency for students to sit and play internet games or go on social media during free time, it is vital for them to be active during PE.

  1. For PreK-8th grades, the program offers the following phases:
Warm-up/stretch phase – to properly loosen muscle tissue and increase blood flow to the heart and prepare the body for activity, while getting students to learn about the science of movement (kinesiology), anatomy, and physiology.
  2. Activity phase – a variety of games designed to develop/improve cardiovascular endurance, flexibility, strength, hand-eye coordination, spatial awareness around others, and teamwork.
  3. Cooldown phase – to allow students to reflect on what they learned and how they performed.

The program utilizes a myriad of gym equipment to construct obstacle courses, team relays, organized scrimmages (basketball, volleyball, hockey, kickball, soccer, ultimate frisbee, dodgeball), etc
